The School Day

School begins at 8.50, and there is a morning break of 15 minutes for all children at 10.30.

Lunch break begins at 12.00 and the afternoon begins at 1.00, ending at 3.15. Your child’s teacher will share a termly newsletter giving you times for PE or music so that you know when equipment is needed.

Children will enter EYFS in the term following their third birthday, and nursery session times are 8.45 to 11.45 / 12.15 to 3.15.

The doors to the Early Years Unit (FS1 and FS2) open at 8.45 to ensure a smooth start to the day. Classroom doors are opened at 8.50, the final bell rings at 8.55 and are locked at 9.00 by which time all children should be in school.  Children arriving late should sign in at the main school reception.

There is a daily assembly at varying times through the week. Parents and carers have the right to remove their child from religious education or from collective worship. They should first discuss this with the Head of School so that they can understand clearly how these areas are tackled in school. If they then wish to withdraw a child, this should be confirmed in writing.
