School Council

Laithes Primary School Council is a group of children from each class who have been voted on to enhance our school. The School Council meet on a regular basis and represent the views and opinions of the children at Laithes Primary School.

The School Council have been involved with several important issues in school. They are key ambassadors who have brought forward ideas to improve playtime and lunchtime, involving their whole class along the way. They have created interview questions and interviewed prospective employees, discussed the Core British Values with their classes and had input into the school menus. More recently, School Council have been heavily involved with a Smoke Free School initiative including a meeting with Barnsley Council.
